Dear Families,

What a magical and wonderful world was created by our outstanding staff (thank you-Ms. Briggs, Ms. Mora, and Ms. Little) through the musical Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.  We had some fantastic performers, singers and dancers grace our Thunderbird Theater.  We also want to give a big shout out to Ms. Marcia, Glen Gerrard, Aurora Gooch, Courtney Cromwell, the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation, and our host of volunteers!!!!!  The responses was overwhelming that every year, our productions are so professional and amazing.  Congratulations to everyone who participated.

Kindergarten and TK Round-Up is in full flow.  Please make sure you spread the news that all schools are accepting applications NOW for fall enrollment.  Make sure you check the link to our ECLC page for more information on each of our programs.  We have four dates set for parent visitations- April 17, 18, 24, 25. Please call the school office to RSVP for one of the dates.  We are also signing all students up for assessment appointments the first two weeks of May.  It is important that anyone who has an incoming TK or Kindergarten student call the office ASAP for more information and to get their child on the list before space runs out.

Our school just keeps growing and getting better.  We have implemented a new program where we use our Middle School students as “Interns” in the classrooms at the end of the day.  They are attending training, sign a contract, and have a job board that they check daily.  It is another way we are helping students gain “real-world” experiences in a guided fashion.
State Testing will begin in May.  It is important that parents send their child to school daily during the testing period and on time.  We want your child’s true academic levels to show.  They have worked hard all year long on their achievements and they deserve their recognition.  Please do your part by making sure your child gets a full night’s rest, eats well, and has minimal stress outside of school hours during this testing time.  Our teachers and staff have worked extremely hard to support every child in reaching their highest potential and it is showing!!!

Respectfully,
Christina Grubbs
